Xavier Dolan says he "somehow feels like a better person" after Cannes jury duty. Is he actually admitting he had faults before?"

Dheepan: Rossy, Sophie, Rokia, Dolan, Jake
Saul: Coen x 2, Del Toro, Sienna

5-4 pt Dheepan

Ce-am mai RT-uit si eu ieri (ordine invers cronologica):

If I ever met the Coens I hope I'd be on the power side of a desk, chomping a cigar. I'd ask, "So which one of you mugs is Coen"

What if Sienna Miller was secretly the mastermind behind all this

Scott Foundas @foundasonfilm · 20h 20 hours ago

One happy surprise of the #Cannes Palmares: No prize for Sorrentino's YOUTH, or GRUMPY OLD MEN as directed by a third-rate hack Fellini.

Grégory @Audermatte · 20h 20 hours ago

Son of Saul est tellement loin au dessus du Audiard, c'est triste de le voir échouer si près du but.

Dave Calhoun @davecalhoun · 20h 20 hours ago

'Everyone had some high level of enthusiasm for it' - high praise for the Palme d'Or winner from Ethan Coen!

Joel Coen: "This isn't a jury of film critics, this is a jury of artists." #Cannes2015

Guy Lodge @GuyLodge · 20h 20 hours ago

"This isn't a jury of film critics," says Joel Coen at press conference, a bit tetchily. Jury isn't radiating conviviality, I must say.

Catherine Bray @catherinebray · 20h 20 hours ago

Have maintained Cannes record of Palme never going to my fave. People, if you want to win a Palme, for godsake don't make something I love.

Guy Lodge @GuyLodge · 20h 20 hours ago

Purely guesswork, but Audiard's win (not to mention that odd Best Actress tie) smacks to me of a very split jury.

Cinema Scope @CinemaScopeMag · 21h 21 hours ago

Well, at least Sorrentino didn't win anything

Jonathan Romney @JonathanRomney · 21h 21 hours ago

Et la Palme d'Or... Audiard's DHEEPAN. What the....!!!!!!

Robbie Collin @robbiereviews · 21h 21 hours ago

Grand Prix goes to László Nemes's Son of Saul, which means *whatever* wins the Palme d'Or will be #problematic #Cannes2015

Critics Round Up @CriticsRoundUp · 21h 21 hours ago

At this point, whatever wins the Palme d'Or will be an outrage. This is why we need film critics, Joel.

CineVue @CineVue · 22h 22 hours ago

#Cannes2015 predictions: 'Son of Saul' (Palme d'Or), Hou Hsiao-hsien (Best Director), 'The Lobster' (Best Screenplay). (@drjonty)

Cédric Succivalli @OnTheCroisette · 22h 22 hours ago

We're in for a WTF Palmarès guys! #Cannes2015

Guy Lodge @GuyLodge · 1d 1 day ago

YOUTH (D+) Notes On Beauty And Mortality, from an elevated, perilously narrow worldview. At once smug and naive; each frame creosote-dunked.

Guy Lodge @GuyLodge · 1d 1 day ago

I don't like THE GREAT BEAUTY, but if I turn my head at a certain angle, I can see the film its admirers see. YOUTH? I'm at a total loss.

La claque Saul Fia, plongée étouffante dans une fourmilière apocalyptique. Quelle mise en scène folle, c'est * pleurer ! Grand film.

Filmul lui Hou, desi a avut cele mai bune recenzii, era clar prea prea calofil / slow-paced pt juriul asta. Fratii Coen venisera sa vada niste sange, niste matze ceva. I doubt Hou obliged. Beautiful doesn't exactly rhyme with Coens.
