Pianistul s-a dovedit cel mai bun film la premiile franceze Cesar, castigand 7 premii, printre care cele pentru cel mai bun film, cel mai bun regizor, si cel mai bun actor in rol principal.
In acelasi timp, ieri s-au acordat si BAFTA awards...din nou pianistul a luat doua din cele mai importante premii, cel pentru regie si cel pentru cel mai bun film. Cea mai buna actrita a castigat Nicole Kidman si cel mai bun actor Daniel Day Lewis.
Cei care nu erau convinsi ca Pianistul este marele favorti la Oscar, ma cred acum?

Apropo de premiile Cesar... Am butonat pe TV5 (pe dna Nistor chiar nu am avut chef sa o ascult pe Prima). Unde m-a mirat excesiv nominalizarea Ocean's Eleven pentru cel mai bun film strain. Castigatorul, Bowling for Columbine, nu cred ca merita sa castige. In opinia mea, din cele cateva secvente pe care le-am vazut, ceva lacrimogen, intr-adevar foarte dramatic, nu m-au convins, avand in vedere subiectul abordat. Dar ce stiu eu...?
Off-topic: Tot pe TV5, azi-noapte, am vazut "Tosca", cu Angela Gheorghiu. Vroiam sa o vad la cinema, ca tot nu l-am prins la Studio. Dar frantujii sunt mai prompti... Traiasca distribuitorii romani.

Premiile BAFTA mi s-au parut destul de bine impartite... Cred ca tot cam asa o sa fie si la Oscar. Astept insa sa vad pe ecrane Catch Me If You Can pentru Christopher Walken.

Se pune insa o mare problema: ii vor da americanii Osacrul lui Polanski, in ciuda actului sau de acuma peste 20 de ani? Articol de pe imdb:

The woman Roman Polanski was convicted of having underage sex with 25 years ago, has backed the moviemaker's Academy Award campaign, insisting the awards should be based on merit. Polanksi was convicted of Statutory Rape in 1977 when a court heard he had sex with 13-year-old Samantha Geimer. He subsequently fled to France to avoid jail. Geimer has since spoken out for the Polish-born director, insists she has "no hard feelings" towards him - and insists his actions in the past should not hinder Polanksi's chances of picking up an Oscar for his new movie The Pianist next month. Polanksi, who Sunday won Best Film and Best Director at the BAFTAs (British Academy Awards) is nominated in the same categories at the Oscar's. And even though he could not travel to Hollywood to pick up any gong - he would be arrested the moment he steps foot in the States - Geimer insists his conviction should not rule him out of the running. She says, "I don't really have any hard feelings toward him, or any sympathy, either. He is a stranger to me. I believe that Mr. Polanski and his film should be honored according to the quality of the work. What he does for a living and how good he is at it have nothing to do with me or what he did to me." Geimer does not excuse Polanski's actions for which he pleaded guilty to 25 years ago, but does express some sympathy for the controversial character. She recalls, "It was not consensual sex by any means. I said no, repeatedly, but he wouldn't take no for an answer. I was alone and I didn't know what to do. It was scary and, looking back, very creepy." A plea bargain was initially agreed by the attorneys for both parties, but at the last minute the judge refused to honor the deal. Worried he would have to spend 50 years in prison, Polanski fled. Geimer charitably explains, "I know there is a price to pay for running. But who wouldn't think about running when facing a 50-year sentence from a judge who was clearly more interested in his own reputation than a fair judgment or even the well-being of the victim?"

Pe mine m-a surprins, doar, nominalizarea lui "Ocean's 11" la "Film Etranger". Dar m-a surprins si numarul mare de nominalizari pe care l-a avut "Asterix si Obelix 2", desi merita majoritatea.

Iar, daca nu a castigat micul desen animat japonez, care nu este un film important si nici nu a mai primit premii niciunde ( :lol: glumesc, logic), celalalt film non-american a fost exclus, au mai ramas cele trei filme americane: un documentar ("Bowling for Columbine"), o comedie de actiune ("Ocean's 11") si un SF ("Minority Report"). Dintre acestea, eu as fi votat cu ultimul, nevazand "Bowling for Columbine".

Cat despre "Pianistul", nu vad nici un motiv pentru care Academia Americana sa nu-i dea premiul. Aparent, sunt o suma de motive, dar nici unul dintre ele nu au vreo legatura cu cinematografia., cu filmele (ce, e polonez si a fost acuzat de molestare sexuala - poate primi OSCAR si in puscarie). Pana la urma, cred ca majoritatea premiilor importante vor fi impartite intre "Pianistul" si "The Hours", iar Chicago se va infrupta de ceva, la fel ca si "Gangs of New York", in timp ce la domeniul tehnic, "The Lord of the Rings" va face un pic de curatenie (ajutat de un film sau doua, evident).

Dupa cate premii a luat Pianistul :lol: cred ca va face o figura buna si la OSCAR!! Am exemplu La Vita e Bella care a facut o figura buna atunci si nu a fost film american Sunt de acord cu MinRep cu impartirea premiilor! 8)
