Yasujiro Ozu and his films

Vazut doar Banshun (1949) aka Late Spring si Tokyo Monogatari (1953) aka Tokyo Story.

Poate umpic prea "de familie" pt gusturile mele, poate umpic prea lente si plicticoase ca tematica abordata (familia, transformarile aduse de oras in vietile membrilor familiei etc) dar oricum, usor de urmarit, nostalgic (nostalgia familiei de demult, unita, impreuna pana la moarte), calmant, linistitor (asta daca inainte ai vazut Ireverisble).

Cred ca "Tokyo Story" este cel mai puternic si expresiv film al lui Ozu.
Poate din cauza unei probleme delicate si anume respectul fata de varstnici o caracteristica pregananta a societatii japoneze traditionale si implicit pierderea acestuia odata cu adoptarea conceptiilor occidentale Japonia asimileaza,egaleaza si chiar intrece pe partea materiala si vazuta cam la toate capitolele,dar din punct de vedere moral si spiritual pierde enorm din adevaratele caracteristici care o faceau atat de speciale pana la inceputul celui de al doilea razboi mondial.

Filmul este de o realitate dureroasa insa si interpretarile sunt pe masura problemei in care se scalda filmul.
Cele mai bune recitaluri apartin actorilor Chieko Higashiyama(tatal) si Setsuko Hara(Noriko).
