Simfest - Târgu Mureş 2009

O prietenă mi-a propus să merg cu ea la festivalul acesta. A fost vreunul dintre voi în anii precedenţi sau merge cineva anul acesta?
Va avea loc între 25 şi 30 august şi este ediţia a şaptea.

P.S. Am răsfoit şi nu am găsit nicăieri vreun topic despre acest festival, dacă totuşi exită rog să îmi fie mutat postul acolo.

Până la urmă am fost, doar în weekend [28-30 august]. Recunosc că vin cam târziu cu impresii, dar să fiu sinceră mi-a fost lene.

Pentru cine este interesat de câştigători poate accesa site-ul. Nu o să îi scriu aici.
Mi-a plăcut faptul că am putut viziona din materialele trimise şi, în prezenţa celor care le-au trimis, au avut loc discuţii cu privire la filmele respective. Totuşi păcat că Ştefan Fischer - invitat să ţină unul dintre cursurile de vară, a stat doar la câteva vizionări. Chiar mi-a plăcut cum a explicat minusurile din materiale.
Un alt lucru ce merită menţionat a fost vizionarea documentarului 'Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed' [SUA 2008] în premieră naţională. Filmul tratează drama oamenilor de ştiinţă ce nu sunt de acord cu teoria darwinistă. Mi-a plăcut cum a fost făcut filmul cu montaje foarte expresive din evenimente tulburătoare de-a lungul istoriei, totuşi mi s-a părut exagerată acea comparaţie. Parcă aş fi văzut un film de "înrolare" într-o sectă. La sfârşit tot Fisher a spus "păcat că nu sunt studentele mele aici ca să le arăt cum NU trebuie făcut la un documentar".

Dar cel mai interesant lucru a fost prezentarea Capsulei Timpului iniţiată de ARTF în octombrie 2008. Momentul multimedia a constituit în şase ecrane unde ni s-au prezentat imagini reprezentative ale Iaşului [ziua, noaptea, răsărituri şi apusuri, vederi de la începutul sec. XX, protrete ale marilor personalităţi ieşene şi cuvinte cheie ce definesc oraşul]. Sinceră să fiu după ce am văzut Knowing chiar mă gândeam că noi oare de ce nu facem o capsulă a timpului, neştiind de proiectul celor de la Iaşi [proiect ce peste o lună împlineşte un an]. Nu am idee câţi ştiţi despre ce este vorba, dacă vă interesează spuneţi-mi şi o să revin cu amănunte.

Caledonia Media Fellowship 2010

Applications are now invited for the prestigious Caledonia Media Fellowship for 2010.

The Fellowship is funded by Caledonia Media and operated in partnership with the SIMFEST Television Festival.

The Fellowship is a key opportunity to spend two weeks in Scotland working alongside other journalists; meeting senior members of the media; visiting the Scottish Parliament; interviewing leading politicians; and learning about how the media and government functions in Scotland and the UK.

Caledonia Media is one of Europe's leading media development organisations and is based in Edinburgh, with 27 agents operating in countries and territories worldwide. It is headed by the international award-winning journalist and broadcaster Charles Fletcher MBE.

If you are a television journalist currently working in Romania, you are enitled to apply, as long as you meet the following criteria:

1. You have at least five years' experience working in the industry.
2. You are committed to working in the media in Romania.
3. You have a valid passport and/or EU travel document.
4. You have an excellent command of spoken and written English (this will be tested).
5. You will agree to make a presentation about the Fellowship at SIMFEST 2010.

Your application must include:

1. Letter of Motivation.
2. An up to date CV.
3. Recommendation by your Editor or Manager.

Terms and Conditions:
Caledonia Media will fund reasonable return air travel from Romania to Scotland; bed and breakfast accommodation in the Edinburgh area; a reasonable daily per diem; and transfers to and from the airport in Scotland. Caledonia Media will not fund additional travel or living expenses during the term of the Fellowship; or changes, for whatever reason, to air ticketing. The Fellowship must be completed by end of May 2010 at latest. Caledonia Media reserves the right to postpone or cancel the 2010 Fellowship according to conditions at the time. The award of the Fellowship will be made by Caledonia Media in consultation with SIMFEST. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Timetable:
Saturday, August 29 - Applications open.
Friday, September 25 - 1200 GMT Deadline for receiving applications.
Friday, October 16 - Shortlisted candidates announced online. Interviews will be undertaken during the following ten days for shortlisted candidates only.
Friday, October 30 - Caledonia Media Fellow 2010 is announced in Romania and Scotland.
